My boyfriend Andrew and I have been coming here for many years. The food is ALWAYS delizioso and we always receive outstanding service from William, Franchesco, and Ryan. They always take care of us and we are never disappointed when we come here. The owners of Amante are sweethearts also. Best authentic Italian food in town.

Imagine Italian food had a baby with an angel ... this is exactly what it taste like. The flavors bursting and ambience as if I were in Italy. We ordered the special with the cheese bowl performance and Amante special pizza. My goodness what an experience of flavor explosions.

Came by when I was in the middle of another heavy pasta phase, and searching for Italian restaurants that I haven't been to yet in DTLA. The Amante's Ragu Spaghetti was immensely satisfying for that. Make sure to splurge for the additional handmade meatballs to accompany. We also had the Fettuccine Al Frutti Di Mare. Food was good, but service could be improved. The only time our server stopped by was to take our order at the start, and then bring the check.

Great experience for my birthday. I would definitely recommend to friends visiting and looking for a great experience in downtown LA. The server for my family and was Edgardo, he was quite experienced in the menu and gave great recommendations.

Ambiance- 3 stars Food- 4 stars Service- 5 stars Let's start at the beginning. The atmosphere was subpar. It was too bright in there for the orange wall paint they chose. Now some of it was cool like the lemon grove and that you could see into the kitchen but the rest of it felt like a cafe or no theme, but certainly not a fancy restaurant. For the pricing I wanted to be transported to Italy. Second, the food. Wow is this place expensive. We of course got the cheese wheel which was good but it's just that one and done for the videos. It's not a regular but a special. Honestly I liked the other normal on menu pasta better than the cheese wheel pasta. And those are more typical LA pricing. Third the service, our waiter was obviously very experienced to handle our large group so smoothly. But what really took the cake (or tiramisu if you will) was the live opera singer. This jolly man was incredibly talented, took requests and visited our table frequently. I think our group was unanimous that the singer alone made our birthday night out one to remember. If you're celebrating something, this is a good place to visit in downtown

I was looking for a place for lunch and stumbled upon this restaurant! I'm very happy I did. I went on a weekday at about 3:00 PM so parking wasn't too difficult to find, street parking only or you can pay for a nearby lot which is what we did because we had plans afterwards. My friend and I were greeted immediately and sat down with no wait at all. It's a pretty place with outdoor and indoor seating. I ordered a sangria flight which was so much better than expected. The sizes and flavors were the best. The menu when it comes to food is pretty big and I wasn't sure what to order because it was so big. My friend ordered a sandwich that took me back to Italy, tasted so authentic I was in awe. I ordered a four cheese baked spaghetti that was very good but I think her sandwich was better lol. I can't forget my fave! The bruschetta was thee best. Quality ingredients and good presentation. I would 100% go back again to try more of the menu and the service was great, he was so helpful and funny.
